We all love our PC Games, especially those big shoot 'em up games, like Counterstrike, Half-Life (II), TankMania - They're great! But there's always one problem, downloading is illegal and you can't afford to buy it. You then go miserable, until you meet a habbo who says,
"I can get you HL2 for free! Add me on my MSN » freegames at hotmail dot co dot uk [example address, not real]"
You are amazed, and quickly add this person. He/she says, "What game do you want?" You are speechless! You are about to get a free game!! You reply, what game you want.. And he/she will send a file like ;
hl2.rar ; csofficemap.rar ; hl1.rar ; deathmatch.rar ; medalofhonor.rar ;
They're great? so you accept it! But Warning, these are just scams! You could easily get a keylogger from these, so here's a few ways to get rid of keyloggers, or to check if they are sending a keylogger! ;
Most shoot 'em up games are pretty big, some scammers don't think things through and send files that are like 1.2Mb. When you open the game it'll come up an error, you won't be able to get to play it!
So, stay safe :)
