Proposal Name:
The DJ ________ 12/24 Hour DJ
Proposal Brief:
This would be a DJ who has voluntarily steped out to DJ for 24 or 12 hours. This DJ would connect, and if a DJ is scheduled, for the time being, he would double DJ with this other DJ. This would occur on special occasion (eg. Summer Kickoff)
Promotional Benefits:
This event could be used as a listener gain, and general promotion for the website. This could be associated with any larger promotion being put on be Habbo or HabboHut.
Event Dates/Times:
This event could be used whenever a special event is happening in the world or Habbo Hotel.
Further Comments
I think this event would be a good idea (if DJ's are permitted to stay up late) to get our listeners to know DJ's a bit better, and also a listener gain. In the case of a 24 hour DJ, the DJ could travel between hotels and have parties everywhere.
Okay, I got through my first event proposal. How do you like it?

I recall Dave mentioning he would try and do this. I might have been wrong though. Sounds like an interesting idea to me!

Yeh I am actually interested in staying on Air for like 16 hours or something. I got the idea after Kyle and Jackie O were on the air 75 hours straight.
So I think it would be great to kick of a new event or something over a weekend.

That'd be pretty cool, if someone was really going to be committed to stay on air as physically possible lol
Maybe having different co-hosts come on air with the host at like 2 - 3 hour intervals to keep it interesting and generally help keep the host alive!

Is it even possible to go without sleep for that long? Or did they switch like every 12 hours.
Anyways, as for the idea, it sounds alright. Although it would get a bit boring after a while, no? They would probably run out of things to say. It would have to be very well planned in order to remain interesting for the full 12/24 hours.

Ye it could get boring, for the dj and listeners, and co they have 12 hours of music? But maybe you could have a bit of double djing involved or get discusions going.

This would be the idea. For example....
I was doing a 12 hour on Friday. When it comes to 8PM EST (rttennis), he would double DJ with me for the hour.
Also, we could have other DJ's do an hour when they are not scheduled, just to keep the show interesting.
It would have to be very well planned in order to remain interesting for the full 12/24 hours.
Listeners would not be tuned in for the full 24 hours (unless they have no life), meaning some things that get talked about can be repeated in different time zones when it is evening.

But like truefitt mentioned, it would get boring for the dj as well. Although I imagine it would be a nice test to determine which dj's are really dedicated.

Well I for one am not that dedicated to dj for 12 hours :P but im sure some people with more time on their hands are up for it.

They actually went without sleep for 75 hours yes. They were there all the time. It was very funny. I think it's kind of like the radio big brother, where the listeners are watching from the outside to the DJ who is going crazy. Of course we would have to have a lot of guest djs and perhaps have them on the show twice, once at the start and once at the end.

This is a great idea! I would tune in for it, haha. It could be some record thing, haha. Maybe an attempt to break the 75 hours of DJing? I don't know, it's just a little motivation thing for the DJ who is willing to do it.

It would be awesome to do it in the summer, or maybe over Christmas break, when most of us don't have school.

Agree with you there, Rosie, im not gonna stay up late to listen to a show, and plus if the DJ has school the next day..? Weekend/School Breaks sound like the best possible idea.

As much as i'd love to be able to do this, last time I DJ'd over 2 hours I nearly passed out because I put too much effort into shows lmsoo!!
But it would be a cool idea. ^^
