Hmm, I haven't seen a riot happen for ages, not like this. I've heard this sort of thing happen before, but not very often.

It's terrible what Habbos are doing these days. All things are done for a reason, and recently Habbos reasons are money/power/revenge.
It is increasingly becoming a matter of urgence. Luckily, Habbo is doing things to protect Habbos, but unfortunately, fansites have to protect themselves.
Love, Lady-MiWi
GL to ClubHabbo on their way back up :)
Personally, I don't really like ClubHabbo, and found this event quite funny, But anyways, all the best for coming back up

Yes, but after such hard work from anyone, in situations such as this, you have to put that aside and respect what they must be going through.
Remember: This is real money and effort we are talking about, along with some peoples information.
Clubhabbo will now hopefully increase their security, and things by making passwords harder to guess etc, havign two different passwords to log in to ?DJ panel etc, and they should get habbos check on their record to see if they do hack etc

I have to say its very rare I visit other Habbo fansites, apart from my own of course (YourHabbo.co.uk, thats YourHabbo.co.uk) and HabboHut, I dont really see the point in hacking fansites, it just mucks peoples hard work up.

I agree, people do put a lot of work into making a fansite and getting people to use it and stuff, it's not an easy thing. Hacking the site isn't achieving anything for themselves, the only effect it has is ruining work and fun for people that use the site.

I know because I have my own site, and I have put so more hard work into it, and so have all of the other management and staff, as well as the users, I would be pretty angry if anything happened to it, however we do have security and backups in place, it is still extra work.
When I worked for Habboom the site got hacked, with all content deleted, most of the content had a backup however some bits didnt, so therefore they took a while to re-make.
Yeah, the people that do it aren't really getting anything out of it, other than making other people angry and destroying their work which again, doesen't acheive anything for themselves, so why do it? It's because they think they are clever doing something like that. As long as there you make back up for as many things as you can on the site, it wouldn't be as bad. Yes, it would still be a lot of work though.

I personally don't like ClubHabbo for my own reasons, but in a situation like this I do have to agree with Lady-Miwi and Age.
The owners of any fansite or website put in a lot of time, money and effort to get these things up and running, and it's a shame that other people have to go and spoil it for the fun of it.
One of the people that hacked CH is actually a friend of mine, don't ask.. but I'm appauled at what she was telling me. The first time I heard about it I commented back to her saying how lame it was and I got the response "it's just Habbo". A while later, after numerous messages from practically everyone on my list I had some messages from this person, gloating about how her and her crew had hacked CH and about the DJ panel having a keylogger, etc. and also that she had reported CH in an email to redtiz saying that CH was breaking the fansite way over the last couple of days, and then told me she got a reply from her saying that CH's official status will be looked at in the coming week.
Now I know that there have been issues with another fansite regarding CH which are being dealt with, but in the last couple of days the only way in which CH has been breaking the fansite way is because of having DJs online that are swearing... but they're the ones who have hacked the site and have reported in the first place.
It's really sad that anyone would do that just to get official status removed from a site. Afterall, "it's just Habbo". ;l
Pathetic.

I won't say anything about ClubHabbo, but I will say that Habbohut's security is quite secure and ever since we upgraded security to our radio 6 months ago, we have not had one break in. Thats only for our radio. Our site is very secure. Thanks to the Sulake Staff who put their time into Habbohut.

No duh, HabboHut is (From my opinion) the best fansite, and if a fansite is declaring "War" on another, thats their own choice. I think if you dont want to be broken into, you should make your security better unstead of once it happens freak out about the fact that you dont have any of it. This is only my perspective.
Ok, I also found out woh this was. It will NOT be mentioned, but: If you see a riot begining to happen, leave if you dont want to be apart of it. Esspecially with the ones causing this.

Lol yeah, I've never known a problem with Habbohut...infact I've never really known of any of these incidences happening with fansites. The one I remember really well is the incident with Habbox, they were removed but according to what I've heard they were also "hacked" and stuff happening with their site, I remember something happening with their radio as well, I was online that time and witnessed what was going on, but like I have explained elsewhere I don't visit the site anymore since it was removed from the list and hearing the news from staff about what happened and now ClubHabbo, I didn't really use ClubHabbo very much though.

Although I have DJ'ied for ClubHabbo many times, I don't actually like it. Anyway, I did hear about the Hacking of Clubhabbo from the person who Hacked it (which i'm not mentioning). Personally, I don't think any site deserves to get Hacked because all it is, is someone destroying someone elses work.

Agreed. After the CH incident the person who caused the riot messaged everyone telling them to tune into another site, and I'll admit that payback did cross my mind... but at the end of the day, I wouldn't go as low as hacking something to get revenge, it's just not right.
I think someone mentioned it above about how it is great that Habbo promotes safety for Habbo's so much, but they don't do anything regarding fansites, and it's a shame that they have to look after themselves since Habbo don't actually have anything to do with the fansites - they just make them official or unofficial.

Alot of people hate ClubHabbo, however some people love it. ClubHabbo are making people Happy, therefore when some people are Happy, some people get jelouse (such as other fansites) and try to distrupt others work in order to gain more popularity.
In all, Clubhabbo have got offical due to there hard work they have put in, however they can seem to 'copy' other fansites.

That's true. Just because some people hate the site, it doesn't mean that it should be taken down. ClubHabbo gained official status for a reason and what they have done with the site after that has been at their discretion. If they have copied other fansites then I am sure that action has been taken accordingly, but this doesn't give anybody the right to go hacking and destroying the site.
Some people say revenge is sweet, but sometimes the line can crossed just a little too far.

I agree, it's just Habbo and I certainly wouldn't go to that person's fansite if they said to me you know... "ClubHabbo is now gone, come to this one"...uhh no, I wouldn't, I rather stay at a friendly fansite like HabboHut. And as it has been mentioned many times of the term "fansite"...it's not an army where we go around destroying the other "armies" or something, it's a fansite and it's had work put into it. If they wanted armies and bases and battles, etc...perhaps they should go play a different game.

That there is very true. As a man said:
"Why destroy when we can create? Keep the peace and erase the hate.
That is just the same for Hacking. Well... Sorta. Technicially, ClubHabbo is just another fansite with a few enemys, however almost ALL fansites have enemies.
It's Funny.. Me and Dj Kokes were talking about this the other day.. How, in the days. (Which wasn't that long ago, September Time!) Fansites had no war.. It's not like, WHAT!? 4 LISTENERS! I'M TUNING OUT *Tunes Out* It just was not like that.. Then along comes some fansites, (Not mentioning) And starts to try and increase popularity by stealing listeners. Me and Kokes could DJ for 5 listeners and think it's great! It's all about if they are enjoying themselves, and if the DJ is entertaining them. That's why us DJs are here!
We also all know.. Most of us have to admit you tune in just for the competitions. They are fun, but when people FLOOD the request line after 5 minutes asking for a competition it does get annoying. It also offends the DJ, as they think you are just tuning on for some "Rarezz..".
Just remember, Behind every pixel there is a real person, with real feelings! The same applies to DJ's. (Thanks Jioey :) )
I personally think, hacking someones work is pathetic.. It also annoys me, about these riots.. ARRG..

To be honest I feel as an official fansite they should not promote such things, on air I heard a dj talking about about some pretty vulgar issues, and as an official fansite it should be thinking about security just like habbohut does, simple things like this make a fansite what they are, if it keeps being hacked or causing so much trouble, the will lose official status, this never happened when I was radio manager!

Dan, I have to disagree with you. ClubHabbo's DJs only give out the password because ClubHabbo is a well hated fansite. If ClubHabbo didn't want listeners why would someone try to hack it to get them down?

You're not making sense. What mikemarks was saying was true. Everyone has been talking about how unsecure CH was, but mikemarks was merely pointing out that the only way that the DJ panel was hacked was by one of the DJs giving out their details for the DJ panel. Unfortunately, when one of the DJs happaned to do this, whoever got into the panel managed to put a keylogger on the panel and so after the hacking a few of the other DJs' details may have been leaked.
It's nothing to do with CH wanting listeners, it's other people out there being lame enough to want to ruin somebody elses hard work for the mere joy of getting the site taken off of the official list.

no djs can only veiw the radio pass once now so it is a dj giving it out even the owner noes
also no who doing it, getting proof is harder
well person who is connecting and playing swearing
Hmm, same sort of thing happened to Habbox radio, they had people that got through and was swearing, abusing and playing songs with swearing and having some rude names for their DJ names on the radio. But unlike CH, Habbox's site was accessed much later. And yes it is a bit hard to prove it, you may know who it could have been, but it is hard to prove.

ClubHabbo Gettin' hacked has nothing to do with security... people putting a keylogger on the staff panel is un-true that's just people (I won't name anyone) thinking there cleaver by hacking a fansite.. they didn't put any keylogger in thet staff panel.
But the the radio getting hacked it is from so many haters/jelious people of ClubHabbo getting jobs at CH or getting there friends to get jobs just to get the radio password. It isn't anything to do with the security belive me it'd be really hard to hack CH by guessing DJs passes. The only other way are haters of clubhabbo keylogging DJs and gaining access to there DJ accounts (and habbo accounts).
What mikemarks said is true, Steve does alot to *try* and improve the security such as DJs can only view information once etc...
and a reply to nicci.. as Dan said again, it could of happend with any radio manager its not to do with the managers it's to do with people not liking the site. and if i remember correctly radio got hacked once or twice when you and ed worked at CH.

Right, I'll put this STRAIGHT for you, yeah.
News
ClubHabbo has recently had a problem regarding the news, with a cutenews administrator giving out his password. The ex-news manager, -Moderator Removed Name-. gave out his password details to -Moderator Removed Name-, and they found it funny that they would post pictures of grandparents, on the site. Within what, 20 minutes, we discovered this. The article's were deleted, the account password was changed, then deleted. We had the news manager sacked, and the news down why we sorted out problems.
We then brought back the news, within 3 hours, to stop disruption =)
With the Radio been Hacked
Daniel has already answered your question. ClubHabbo DJ's have been giving out the password for there Staff Panel. I'm no DJ, I haven't experience of it tbh, and I don't know where the staff panel is, nor what information we recieve.
-Moderator Removed Comment-
@ALL OF YOU. ClubHabbo has high security. As the owner of the forums owns a hosting site, he is definately aware of security blips and things often occuring. We do our best from security. Any staff that we believe is not putting in 100% effort to maintain our high standards + secure standards we have at ClubHabbo will be sacked, straight-off.
I haven't seen any site probably, thats decent, so far that hasn't been hacked. HabboNation have been hacked by BMX dude or something, of which that was a terrible show.
I can't say anything about HabboHut, but its more than likely that theres been security risks.
Staff Panel Keyloggers
NO Keyloggers were added to ClubHabbo staff panel, as we always maintain security with our staff.
If you have any questions regarding this ' Topic ', please ask myself, cause I will have more answers than some of you that know nothing about ClubHabbo, Thanks :)
a DJ did get sacked [Not naming names] as her AIM got hacked into etc, so there was a security risk, not sure abotu us being hacked though
Habbohut DJ Panel is VERY secure. I cannot tell you how, or what, or when etc but it is very secure. The only way someone could possibly get into it is leaking details.
This has never happenned, as HabboHut is a loved site :)
I am not saying ANYTHING about any other Fansite, I just love the hut, and I hope to stay here :)

Thats not getting hacked, thats just obtaining passwords.
They keylogged, had an inside staff member or somehting inside those lines.
If someone actually hacked thier mahcine. i doubt they would use it to go on thier habbo account...

I'm afraid you are wrong. I used to be a ClubHabbo DJ, in which I have seen the staff panel. There is no Keylogger, trojan or virus on there. Anyway You can't even project a keylogger/virus/trojan onto a .HTML or .PHP Document anyways... or can you?

I don't know about any of you lot but this is kind of getting old now, and I don't really think that it's a good idea for you all to be giving out names of who did what, etc. For all that anyone else knows it could all be false accusations to put blame on people that you don't like. I'm not saying you're lying, but I'm not saying that you're telling the truth either. CH staff have found the problem with whoever was causing it, and actions will, and probably have been taken by now. But as with any situation, I don't think that these peoples' names should be mentioned because it will just cause further accusations/arguments. (Think of it like putting the blame on someone else for scamming.. you cannot prove it so therefore it is better to not mention it in the first place).
