Most people get bored of Habbo, because of its cost in credits. But playing habbo isn't about the Credits or the Furni. But said by one of the Top Retro Owners this is not the case

This is not a Thread to go giving Ideas to people with no furni or credits to go looking for Retros, because I highly doubt you do. Retros are a easy way to scam.

WARNING : On a retro, the Owner can see your password. the password you register with on their Hotel. Using your password for Habbo is a bad Idea and people had this urge to use their Habbo Passwords because its easy to remember. That is not the case, the Owners can easily get your Habbo Account from you and theres you account. GONE.

I would recomeded that you do not go on Retros because it is;

1. ILLEGAL
2. Sucks the fun out of Habbo
3. Easy way for scammers to scam
4. You shouldn't do it.

Pass this on to your Friends, Make this in your Signature, This Has to be stressed to much that Retros are Illegal and should not be entered, Ran on your computer in anyway.

Just keep that in mind when you here someone say Retro,

Mason is right Retros do suck the fun out of habbo and are an open door for scammers to take your account, It’s Simple DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THEM. And if you do accidentally report them to the Habbo help tool or the online Mod. (Your best bet is the Habbo Help Tool as the mod will 9 times out of 10 ask you to use that anyway lol.)

It also does the opposite of sucking the fun out of Habbo, mostly because you don't have to spend hundreds of dollars to get some decent furniture. I don't call that fun.

It doesn't really matter if spending Money to habbo isn't, Spending Money on Habbo, saves you money in the Long run. It doesn't matter what country the server is ran from. It is illeagal and shouldn't get accessed. and Like I said, easy access for Scammers.

To be technical, it does matter what country the server is located in. You could legally run a retro server in any country that has no extradition treaties with countries that are part of the Sulake empire. Basically meaning, it's not illegal everywhere. I hope you realize that there is no world government, despite what you may think. No one runs all the countries in the world.

It's a breeding ground for scammers, of course, but only if you lack common sense. If you give away your REAL Habbo name and password, that's really your fault. If you wouldn't like to get scammed, don't give away your name and password. You never should.

How does it save you money? You are yet to be able to sell Habbo furniture on eBay or any other auction/e-market website.

If i do want to report a retro you use the "Help Tool". The URL then gets sent over to the Safety Department in Finland who negotiate getting the site taken down. I know this as i have it on an email somewhere from Redtiz.

The thing is - they aren't something you should be using, they can be unsafe, they breach copyright laws, and Sulake strongly doesn't suggest for you to use them. It's much better when you have adults running something like Habbo than it is for kids to be doing so. With Habbo - it's legal, they have professionally qualified staff, and you in a much safer environment.

That's what they tell you. Mark is absolutely correct. Noone makes a business purely or on the main basis of making friends. It for money. It's a sad fact you're going to have to come to realize in the real world. Just because Sulake seems all about friends doesn't mean it actually is. They couldn't care less about if you make friends or how many they make. What they want is to make money; that's why they charge for credits. Sulake is a business, not a charity or organization.

First off lets get started by asking the question, what is a retro?

A retro is a hotel which IS NOT related nor associated with Sulake in any way. Retro's are also illegal.


What does a retro look like?

Retro's can look like it's the real thing but eyes can be deceiving so always be sure to check the url and make sure it says habbo.ca or whatever hotel you may play(I play on .ca) Retro's can even have a login page where as soon as you put in your habbo information....BOOM! Your habbo's gone.




What should I do if I see/know a retro?

Report it to Habbo or Sulake immedaitely and they will take the proper action to enusre that you are safe and that the retro is shut down. Remember that by reporting a retro, you are helping other habbos too :)




My friend got hacked, what can I do?

Sadly, your friend can't do much about that. We would suggest he/she makes a new habbo and doesn't log onto any more retros. You may help her by following these tips:


1)Always check the url before entering habbo information.
2)Remember that habbo moderators NEVER ask for your password.
3)Remember that retros are ILLEGAL!!!

If Sulake catches you owning a retro they can take legal action. As well if your email is on a hotel and they find your email. They can perm ban you from Real habbo.

THis is a surprising thing to hear coming from a Radio DJ, sounds to me that you have experience using a retro? This is comming from me but thats not a good picture for us if our staff are visiting retros.
