I hate to be pointing this out... but the Mac is a computer and Windows is a Operating System... I suppose you mean Mac OS X?

anyways I use Windows XP, don't really like Vista but I like Windows 7. but I've been using Ubuntu more and more (linux) but I'd still have to go with Windows I guess. most people seem to like Macs just to be alternative.

If you know how to use a mac, then it's nice, very costomisable, but not as user friendly, or acessible in terms of C drive, or the cmd thing. If you're a windows user it will take some time to get used to the mac interface, but a plus about macs are you can use a different os at the same time as mac os. Both ways, programs are costly, but for macs it's like 95% less likely to get a virus, that's all that crosses my mind.. So yeah (:

I always use the old grey look. I'm not much for pimping stuff out. I'd rather have something basic.

anyways only 28 days until the release of Karmic Koala now.

Windows 7 Beta/Evaluation user right here! :]
I prefer Windows 7 above everything else, XP stuffed everything up after the virus I had last year and a bit this year, so I switched to Windows 7 and its fantastic.

OS X is more than equivelant for e-mail, word processing and internet access also. Have you even owned a Mac?

OS X is just as user friendly as Windows. You can access your main drive, and there is a command line.

I use OS X, I love it, but it's not for everyone. I liked Windows, but I prefer OS X.

I Sorta meant in terms of cmd more, it's easier as it's simple commands, rather than mac's " defaults write com.apple.dock persistent-others -array-add '{ "tile-data" = { "list-type" = 1; }; "tile-type" = "recents-tile"; }'
killall Dock " for terminal.

But that's a pro-user tool anyway. User friendly-ness applies to the average end user. An average end user probably never opens cmd.exe or Terminal. :)

My first computer was a mac and its the one i'm using now. Never had any problems, no virus's not even stupid msn ones.

MAC FTW

btw macs are way more user friendly than windows you're all just not used to it. Also its so much prettier <3

i bet the font you see me posting in is all pixally on your PC's (lul) on a mac its all SMOOTHY!

well most operating systems are userfriendly if you're used to them... that's mainly the argument coming from both sides, that they're not userfriendly just cause the person saying it knows more about the other one.

me myself, I think it's just a choice. none is superior/inferior. one excel and one thing, the other at something else.

and no, Windows uses ClearType, similar to Mac OS X font-antialiasing. you just have to activate it on XP (its standard on Vista and 7).

I personally don't like Macs.
It may just be because I'm used to Windows. xD
