I already have an iPod touch with OS 4.

Its sad that only the iPhone has multitasking and backgrounds available unlike the iPod.

Isnt the iphone 4 out now? It had loadssss of problems with reception and everything?

9buzz
30-07-2010, 10:38 AM
"loads" is a big exaggeration.

There is a problem with reception dwindling if you hold it a certain way.

I believe there was another problem I'm not sure.

But for this they are giving away free bumpers to everyone who has an iPhone 4.

Well they came out midnight this morning for Australia. Dad is going to get one, and he's giving me his current iPhone. So its a win-win situation for me. ^^

well yourr wrong

any ipod touch that is 3rd gen gets it

Not all features are compatible with all devices. For example, multitasking, custom wallpaper, and Bluetooth keyboard support are available only with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, and the third-generation iPod touch (32GB and 64GB models from late 2009).

My iPod is 3rd gen.

There is no multitasking or app page wallpapers.

There is only some slightly new little look changes.

However there are folders.

Yes, I'll be buying one. Go onto any Australian based Apple forum and you'll find plenty of testimonials from current users testing the so called "Antennagate" problem. Post after post, everyone seems happy with no drop outs.

Telstra has also officially supported the phone as a "blue-tick" phone (http://www.appleinsider.com/articles/10/07/29/australias_telstra_awards_iphone_4_blue_tick_for_s uperior_reception.html) meaning it's certified for country usage in Australia.

I'm still not convinced. Apple admitted there's a problem and they should fix it ASAP. My pastor has one and it works fine, but it's in a case. From what I've heard (Consumer Reports I think it was?), cases fix the antenna problem. That's fine, but I don't want to have to use a case to counter this flaw.

If it's not fixed I'll wait and buy next year's model. Hopefully they will have fixed the problem by then. :P

Many carriers have sold out of iphone4
I went to the shops today and most said sold out which was quite surprising after hearing it has poor reception.. I don't really care poor of not, I would really want one either way.

I saw one of the staff of telechoice or whatever had an iphone4, I was so mindblown. lolll It's still quite heavy which I dislike but still it's an iPhone. To buy it unlocked it's like $850++ or something I saw on the apple site.. forgot..

I'll be going to the apple store tmr, because my friend's planning to get one, and see the full iphone in action. :3

No, I won't be buying one because here in America they're only available on AT&T, and their plans are expensive and they don't cover as many areas as other providers. I'm completely happy with my Blackberry and my Verizon service.

Maybe when they enable Flash. ;)

Pretty much sums up my reasoning, minus the cellular companies haha. I'm with Bell for my blackberry =) BLACKBERRIES FOR EVER!

I went to the apple yesterday and wowww, they have a lot! I love the resolution of the iphone4. It's amazingly sharp as! Idkk.. I only like because the design, camera and resolution.. reason I want but can't have :p
Also, many tried to "Death grip" it at the apple store lolll.

In Australia they support like all carriers? I believe, you can buy it outright and on cap with optus, telstra, vodafone or something. My friends were going to their carrier phone shop to ask about if they are able to end their cap and all.. Idk much about phones, they were guys so yeah. Cost them like $80+ release fee whatever..

What is Flash, Hannah? ;-; Camera or program? lolll

It depends, I have paid for insurance :P. Basically main reason I want to get it for, it to see what the big "who har" is about. Then I can officially say if good or not as I would have had one.

I really didn't like the HTC Legend. It's exactly like the iPhone, just android OS, and a smaller home button lol

Alot of my colleagues have HTC's or iPhones. I decided on the Apple product because I want to see what the big shenanigan about it is and because I know alot of Apps I would use are on it.

I don't have the money to pay for a phone outright, then again I don't have $$ at all :(

I think I'm getting it on the cheapest cap possible, which is virgin $39 easy cap and $5 mobile cost. I don't use my phone much but yeah :) I think it's $1056 over 24 months. It's alright, I think..
Anyways, I hear iPhone 4's are all out of stock atm so /criess

Andy
21-11-2010, 03:37 AM
Thats not bad, Im staying on prepaid and got mine outright... well am getting it outright (technically speaking as have not got it)

&e
21-11-2010, 03:46 AM
I got the HTC desire, on £30 a month, which equates to £720 for the whole of the 24 month contract, which isn't too bad, considering the phone is about £450
