Google have announced Google Profiles - Similar to Facebook and this week there is a trial.

Yes Google won with the maps and best overall website but facebook is the winner at this stage of social networking. Google would have to have something fantastic to motivate people to swap from facebook to them.

Facebook has a lot of bugs.. From my experiences, Google have never had a reputation of bugs.

Google Docs never really took off either, people look to Google for searching, maps, email and translations but that's about it really. I don't think this'll end up being overly popular but there's no harm in trying.

Personally, I wont be signing up. I have Facebook and that's enough for me. I feel that might be the attitude of plenty of other older people, too.

It's not that bad actually. It's got a heap of users already.

Going to have a look in a second but think of it this way, if Google intergrate it with youtube then you may possibly choose it because it's a better option that an average youtube profile.

Google is big, I'm sure they'll find away to pull traffic.
