Most programs (especially through msn) have trojan horses applied to them

Trojan horses do -
can recieve your msn, habbo, paypal etc. password.

So please be careful what you download - especially if you think your gonna download things for editing the hotel - its wrong! and very dangerous!

Please post here if you had an experience with a trojan horse and tell everyone how dangerous they are to your computer system

I do suggest using AVG free

Somehow it picks up viruses well and truly before norton

AVG - detects
Norton - Deleted
Ad-aware - double checks

McAfee Security Suite 7!
Recommend it through and through.
its like the most advanced and safest security suite I know.
but it is rather expensive but think about it.
Either pay £60 for McAfee or £600 for a new computer if it gets a trogan?

Buy a new PC? If you really cant get rid of a trojan, format your harddrive and reinstall windows, its alot cheap and only takes about an hour.

heres some info i dug out -

What is a Trojan?

A Trojan is a program that gives other people access to your computer; sometimes it "hijacks" your PC so that you cannot use certain applications to delete it.

A good firewall will prevent your PC from being accessed by a third party, but it may not prevent you from downloading a Trojan.

Not all anti-virus software will detect or remove Trojans, as they are not considered to be a major threat because they generally do not self-replicate. What is a Trojan?

I used to use Norton AV 2002 with Internet Explorer, and would receive alteast 1 virus/trojan/worm a month. One of them took my habbo account (over 150 credits worth of furni)

since that attack, I have moved to Bullguard and Netscape then Firefox. I am yet to receive any viruses or trojans.

Because I Beta Test their products before release, I have received 1.5 free years.

The only habbo editing you should do is in paint when you make an alt
